What a wonderful holiday party we enjoyed on December
7! Thirty-seven members attended and were treated to
SO much good food, it was almost overwhelming!
Christopher’s Restaurant did a great job. The room was packed. Twenty-four members attended the party last year. It was great to see the many new members who attended. If our Club continues to grow, we might have to find a bigger party place!
Check out pictures from the party:

I was overwhelmed with everyone’s concern for my health. Thanks again for all the good wishes!
Here are many thank-yous:
As always, if I neglected to thank anyone, please know that your contribution and help is always appreciated.
Speaking of 2009, I announced the Club meeting schedule for the coming year. Here it is on the website.
Jim and I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a healthy, happy, prosperous New Year!

Here are many thank-yous:
- Moira Alexander, for bringing the sweet “Bee
Merry” cake and acting as “collection agent” for
the party $$$.
• Pete and Eleanor Bizzoso, who surprised us with a raffle for lovely, hand-made beeswax Christmas ornaments. What beautiful wax!
• Ray Lackey, for being “Santa” and handing out all the grab-bag gifts from Santa’s Hive. Everyone went all-out with the gifts this year. I drew a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind necklace with bee charms and gold tassels, hand-made by Miriam Kissel. Thank you, Miriam! I love it!
• Ginny Lackey, for giving us an update on their daughter Carissa’s health, after her brain surgery on Easter Sunday. Carissa is fine and back in school, thank God. And one of our Club members, Dr. Jonathan Golden took wonderful care of her. Ginny said that our Club is like a family. I believe it truly is!
• Miguel Valentin, who spoke to us about his annual Pig Roast, which is a Club tradition every September, and a tradition for his family of Puerto Rican heritage. Miguel hopes to see every member at the festivities in 2009. He has dancers and musicians perform. We discussed putting some photos of past Pig Roasts here on the club website, so everyone can see the fun and make plans to come.
