I congratulate everyone who won prizes at the Honey Judging! I thank everyone who participated! And I thank Ray Lackey for judging. It was quite amazing to see him using his polariscope to painstakingly evaluate the honey, and also carefully evaluate all of the other entry categories.

I hope everyone enjoyed hearing from our speaker John Bernard, our Bee Inspector, and having your questions answered. What a nice guy!

Below is a photo of Jim and I at a charity event at the Mystic Connecticut Aquarium and Institute for Exploration, dressed in costume as the Queen Bee and her Beekeeper. The Halloween event was to benefit their African Black-footed Penguins, which is why we are carrying stuffed toy penguins with bee bow ties to match our costumes.
