FROM THE EDITORS DESK: August

Words cannot express my thanks to you, my dear friends, for all your prayers and cards and support during this terrible loss of my loving husband Clifford. He was my best friend and we had just celebrated our 43 wedding anniversary in June. His sudden death was such a shock to us all. I know that many of you that came to visit at the funeral home never even got to speak to me, I was overwhelmed by how many people were there. Thank you for your presence, I know you were there, even if I could not greet you personally. Our family was comforted by your support.
My special thanks to Joanne and Jim. They came home with me to tell the bees that their beekeeper had died.

I just had to add a sweeter note to this column. Last week I attended Funny hat day at Day Camp with Grandson Adam. His hat was a beany made of chenille stems, done cleverly by his mom Jenn. But wait till you see what one of his classmates and her mom made! A wonderful bee skep hat complete with Play Doh bees buzzing around.
