Minutes of Meeting (and photos) for May
Friday, June 06, 2008
The May 2008 meeting was different from any meetings
in our club’s 59 year history (at least to my
knowledge). It was like three little meetings in
three different apiaries beginning at 1:00 PM in
Huntington and ending at about 6:00 PM in Dix Hills.
We had scattered showers and sunny periods all
through the tour. Everyone seemed to enjoy this very
unusual get-together. There was no formal business
conducted although this writer made a tongue-in-cheek
motion to buy Rich Blohm a new hat—his looked like it
had been eaten by termites. Rich claimed that it was
comfortable and he didn’t care much what it looked
like. No second, no vote, just lots of laughs—Nobody
takes me seriously; sometimes I feel like Charlie
Brown or Ziggy!
