Minutes of Meeting for March 2008

Minutes of Meeting of 16 March 2008 held at the Manhattan, New York City residence of President Joanne Thomas and Corresponding Secretary Jim Fischer at 2:30PM. Due to the limited space this meeting was by Reservation only and, because mead tasting was to be part of the event, no one under the age of 21 was admitted.
Also, since this was a strictly social event, no business was conducted and therefore these “Minutes” are basically the Recording Secretary’s observations of the occasion. Howland Blackiston, the featured speaker, donated a bottle of his Mead to be auctioned off to those present. The Auction netted the LIBC Treasury $32.00 In addition, Raffaela Billone, wife of Joe Billone, made some delicious home-made treats to accompany the mead tasting. The afternoon ended at about 6:30 PM after we all visited the roof-top observation deck to enjoy the million-dollar view of the skyline and the sunset. Back to Penn Station and a train ride back to Long Island completed the day.
A Good Time Was Had By All
