Joanne owes me a car wash! Her bees have been pooping all over my white van!!! With the unseasonably warm weather and record high temperature today the bees have been out and are remarkably cleansed based on the yellow dots all over my car. We haven’t seen evidence of any pollen coming in yet, so we don’t know if the skunk cabbage in the San Souci lakes is blooming yet, but hope it does soon.
I received some great “bee” items for gifts this holiday season to add to my growing collection. And Clifford received an old copy of the Hive and the Honey Bee from our son who found it at an old book store, a real find. It’s nice to have a hobby so the kids don’t have to wonder what tie to buy Dad!
Now we are just browsing through the garden catalogs that are arriving daily and waiting to get out there and get the yard ready for the bees. Come on Spring, regardless of what the Groundhog said.
